I'm curious to know if there is any data for the density and composition readings at the base (4/5km from the rim) of this chasma as this "hole in the ground" is a 'trapped canyon' or Trough, without an inlet or escape route....relative to the surface density?
There appears from the ESA images, the base has a deep dark green hue and could be biological.
Is this Chasma a perfect Aquarium for life in a 5 mile deep atmospheric fish bowel?
And what a place to land on that perfect Mesa!
