Re: Color of the ocean under Noachian

The liquid ocean, under period of Noachian and Hesperian, is not a pure water but it is acid. What is chemically color of the ocean? Blue or Green of the acid water?

Re: Color of the ocean under Noachian

noosfractual,

I believe the green color on Earth was the oxidation of Iron elements in the water. This occurred as oxygen levels increased in response to photogenic process.

I am way over my head here. Is this correct? If so then what is the acidic connection?

Re: Color of the ocean under Noachian

It depends on which chemical elements are in structure of this acid. It can be green, yellow or transparent
