Re: Mars Society Survey

Would a survey to measure the size, composition, active members versus inactive etc, be an appropriate way to help the Mars Society become a more effective force for Mars advocacy?
Questions-
1.How many members as of now do we know for certain to in the MS worldwide?
2.Are you of the scientific, political, engineering or general space fan number?
3.If none of these describe you what would you describe yourself as?
4.Are you a member of MS and if you are not, why not?
5.How effective do you think the MS are at reaching average people?
6.Do you think the political lobby direction of MS is popular in drawing in new members?
7.What improvements or changes within the MS(if any) do you think the MS needs to achieve it's goals?
8.What value do you think a forum such as this means to the MS versus doing something about Mars issues(for example by you joining a chapter) as the MS is attempting to?

and yes, I'm a Mars Society member (in Australia). smile
