Mars timekeeping
From NewMars
There are several aspects of timekeeping on Mars: a proper organization of time in a day, and an organization of days, weeks and months in a calendar. Kim stanley rrobinson suggests in Red, Green, and Blue Mars that a 'timeslip', or a period of time in which clocks do not run, could account for the differenced between a Day and a Sol. Furtheremore, there could be 24 months in a year, each approximately 29 days.
