Website Revamp

If you haven’t visited New Mars for a while, you’ll have noticed that the website has been completely revamped. Besides from the cosmetic changes, links to the perenially active forum and new wiki have been added, along with an under-the-hood change to Wordpress as the weblog engine. These changes make it much easier to add new posts and content to the website, as well as allowing staff writers to submit their posts directly. So, expect a New Mars in 2008!

  1. Sharp site image.

2008 will see Phoenix arrive at Mars to join Spirit and Opportunity on the surface with Odyssey, MEX and MRO watching overhead. Phoenix will discover what lies under the surface, whether it’s just minerals, liquid water or life, it will surely be discussed in the forum!

  2. Nice to see a new front page, but what will it bring to the forum or cause that New Mars is all about?

MarsDrive has also done the same and while the numbers of people are slowly finding the site are increasing the needed support for the cause has not gone as well.

This new front page reminds me also of the spacepolitics site. It combines the news with those that are willing to comment on it rather than the old topic forum concept. Both ways have there pro’s and cons as I have sen from visiting both styles.
